Christene Jones

Christene Jones, 81, of Somerset, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on July 23, 1939 in Cincinnati; daughter of the late, O.L. & Fleda Rose (Patrick) Manning. She was a member of Heritage Hope Church of God and retired as a secretary for Dundee Mills.

She is survived by her children, Theresa & (Lawrence) Loveless of Somerset, Renee Gordon of Richmond, & Anthony & (Charlet) Jones of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Gwendalyn Bland of Somerset & A. Debra Manning of Fresno, California; a brother, Ronald E. Manning of Running Springs, California; grandchildren, Erica & (Joseph) Dopp of Bronston, Jesse & (Samantha) Loveless of Somerset, Anthony W. Jones of Pahrump, Nevada; Ashley Phelps of Somerset, Adriana & (Kody) Smith of Somerset; Travis Loveless of Somerset, Whitney Loveless of Somerset, Paul Loveless of Somersest, Amanda Raney of Eubank, Kasara King of Mt. Vernon, Amanda Forrester of Mt. Vernon, John Lucas & (Aariel) Gordon of Berea, and Sarah Gordon of Berea; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several cousins, and other relatives, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles James Jones; a brother, Bruce J. Manning; a sister, Meretta Manning; a grandson, Brandon Smith; and a son-in-law, Jeffery Scott Gordon.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Stephens & Bro. Nick Tomlinson officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 9:30 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
