Donna Mae Hunley

Donna Mae Molden Hunley, age 84, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.

Donna was born in Caintown, KY on November 11, 1940 to the late Robert “Dewey” Molden and Rova Tarter Molden. She was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Donna was a banker for over 50 years in the Somerset area. She was a Somerset City Council Member for over 20 years and a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Hunley, whom she married on November 11, 1960 in Dabney, KY; one son, Patrick Hunley (Lori Dick) of Somerset; one sister, Glenda C. Smith of Lexington, KY; two sisters-in-law, Caroline Molden and Donna Molden; one granddaughter, Whitley (Jason) Niceley; one great grandson, Clayton Niceley; and other family members, friends and neighbors. Donna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lindon Molden and Roy B. Molden; and one brother-in-law, Quinton Smith.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 9:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will follow on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Clark officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
