Gordon Burkett

Gordon Lee Burkett, age 75, Cynthiana, died Friday, September 30, 2022 at his residence. Born in Naomi, Kentucky to the late James Dewey “JD” and Mildred Henderson Burkett, he was a sensi for the Cynthiana Sin-The Shaolin-Do and active in the Sin The Karate School in Lexington. Gordon loved boating and fishing on Lake Cumberland where he was born and raised. He was a diehard University of Kentucky Wildcat fan.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “PJ” Cornett Burkett; a daughter, Kimberly (Troy) Webster; a sister, Janice Palmer and three grandchildren, Emmaleigh Taylor Webster, Samuel James Webster and Sawyer Gage Webster.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Monday, October 3, 2022 at the Cynthiana Sin-The Shaolin-Do by Jeffrey Jackson with visitation beginning at 4:00 P.M. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, 4790 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky 42503.
