Ina Jean McCracken

Ina Jean Bates McCracken, 95, of Lexington, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Lexington Country Place. Born July 2, 1929 in Somerset, KY to the late James and Bertha Sears Bates. She was a cosmetic sales representative for McAlpine’s/Dillard’s store Turfland Mall. She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church since 1958.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Jerry) Ross of Lexington; four grandchildren, David Ross, Cheri Ross, Jennifer Clarke, and Joan Isaacs; six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. McCracken and a daughter, Susan McCracken.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset, KY.
