Joyce Faulkner

Brenda (Joyce) Faulkner, 74, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away at her home on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, after a lengthy cancer battle.

She was a woman of faith and longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she loved teaching Sunday school, supporting vacation bible school and youth programs, singing in the choir and sharing experiences with all members of the church. She worked at Oakwood for several years while continuing her education and moving into the Pulaski County School System where she later retired as a speech pathologist.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hobert Epperson and mother, Etta Florine Masters Epperson.

She is survived by her husband Harold (Dwight) Faulkner of Somerset, KY; son Wesley (Nicole) Wheeldon of Columbus IN - grandchildren Gabriella, Parker, and Riley Wheeldon of Columbus IN; daughters Natasha (Jason) Stevens of Somerset, KY - grandchildren Olivia Stevens of Dayton OH, Owen Stevens of Somerset KY; Autumn (Justin) Richardson - grandchildren River and Oakley Richardson; Sisters: Ruth Ann (John) Sandidge of Stearns KY, Kathy Epperson of Nancy, KY, Suzy (Chris) Gholson of Somerset KY. Nieces & nephews: Michael Sandidge, Laura Sandidge Salzman, Chandler Gholson.

The family of Mrs. Faulkner will receive friends for visitation will from 11 AM - 1 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Immanual Baptist Church.

A celebration of life ceremony will start at 1 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Immanual Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Shepherd officiating.In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503 or the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 808 Bourne Avenue, Somerset, KY 42501.Her laughter, quick wit, and love for life and family touched everyone she met.
