Sundie Lynn

Sundie Nioka “Gig” Woolsey Lynn, age 80 of Lebanon, formerly of Somerset, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 in Lebanon, KY. Sundie was born on June 16, 1944 in Somerset, the daughter of Bus Woolsey and Ellen Patterson Woolsey. She married her husband Gilbert “Sarge” Lynn , Jr. on March 20, 1966. They shared 48 years of marriage prior to his passing on November 23, 2014. She was a member of 1st Church of the Nazarene in Somerset. Gig enjoyed flea markets, spending time with her grandkids, cooking meals for her family and having everyone together.

Survivors include her son; Shannon Lynn of Somerset, like a daughter, Margie Lynn (Randy) Dodson of Somerset; bonus daughters: Angela Burkett and Tonya Amburgey; three grandsons; Zach Lynn, Bishop Lynn (Hope Bruner) and Noah Lynn; one granddaughter, Kaylee (Rob) Hudson; two great granddaughters, Rose Hudson and Kinley Hudson; her brothers, George (Gracie) Halland and Charles (Janice) Halland of Murray, KY, Larry (Deidra) York and Matthew (Barbara) York of Benton, KY, and Billy (Connie) Hambleton of Mt. Washington, KY; her sister Wanda Hayden of Louisville, KY; and extended family members, neighbors and friends who are saddened by her passing.

In addition to her parents, Bus and Elen Woolsey, and her husband, Sarge Lynn, Gig was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Dotson and several friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY. The funeral service will follow on April 2nd at 1:00 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
